These events we will provide you with information, practical strategies and free resources about all things health justice partnership.
In this way of working, a lawyer is embedded into a health, community or social service which supports people’s health and wellbeing.
Bringing together diverse disciplines and expertise in a partnership really works for patients and clients. And at the same time, we know it takes specific skills to partner effectively.

Event 1: An introduction to health justice partnership
9am – 10.30am: An in-person and online event for people who have heard about HJP and would like to know more, or those for whom HJP is a new concept but who are interested in innovative ways to provide services to people with complex and intersecting needs.
Following a short presentation by Health Justice Australia, we’ll open up the conversation to answer your questions about HJP and begin a discussion about common challenges of working in partnership, such as how to build buy-in or develop a shared service goal.
Event 2: An in-depth review of how you’re partnering in HJP
11am – 4.30pm: An in-person only practical workshop for those who are currently working in a health justice partnership.
You’ll be guided through a process to understand, review and revise your approach to partnering. We’ll cover 3 key areas of partnership – the relationships, the resources and the processes. Ideally a representative from all your partnership services would attend with you, but it’s not essential.
