Board Directors

Following Health Justice Australia’s establishment in 2016 and growth in strategic purpose and impact, the Health Justice Australia Board is looking to expand its membership.

Board service for Health Justice Australia is an important role and will be a key factor in the organisation’s success. The Board invites expressions of interest from people with relevant experience and expertise to ensure effective oversight and growth of this exciting new organisation.

Health Justice Australia is a company limited by guarantee and a charity with deductible gift recipient and public benevolent institution status. This information pack includes the skills, competencies and behaviours that will form the basis of appointment to the Board.

In this recruitment, we are focussing on expertise in health, legal assistance and social policy; relationships and strategic understanding of philanthropy; and understanding of strategy and governance in relevant non-profit operating environments. Expertise in governance and finance are minimum expectations.

The Board encourages expressions of interest from people who broadly meet the skills, competencies and behaviours outlined here; and share Health Justice Australia’s values and vision. Board members will not be limited to existing stakeholders of health justice partnerships. Up to two new Board members are likely to be appointed at this time.
