Announcing our new board directors

As our leadership and governance continues to evolve, we’re excited to announce the appointment of two new board directors.

Warwick Padgham and Greg Rochford bring their considerable experience to the growing board of Health Justice Australia.

Warwick Padgham

We’re thrilled to welcome Warwick to our board. He is a proud Taungurung man and brings a wealth of experience in Indigenous higher education.

Over the past decade, his work has focused on supporting Indigenous advocacy, governance and leadership, particularly in tertiary education settings. His current role as Manager, Indigenous Student Programs, Melbourne Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, University of Melbourne, sees him overseeing the development of Indigenous PhD scholars.

Warwick holds a Bachelor of Business, LaTrobe University; Master of Public Health, University of Melbourne; and Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research, University of Melbourne. He is also currently undertaking his own PhD in how dual delivery health justice service programs in Indigenous community-controlled health organisations give effect to Indigenous self-determination

We look forward to Warwick’s input into our ongoing governance and strategy.

Greg Rochford

Greg’s career spans mental health and law, where his work has focussed on restoring and building solid governance and fiscal foundations to support strategic and innovative approaches to service delivery, and effective engagement with communities, agencies and governments.

He brings with him strong knowledge and experience in both executive and non-executive health leadership across not-for-profit sectors, local, state and national government, and in urban, rural and remote settings.

Greg’s career-long commitment to improving access to services when geographical, cultural or socioeconomic circumstances make it harder for people to get appropriate care when it is needed will be an asset to Health Justice Australia.
