Release date: 3 November 2025
The Board of Health Justice Australia has appointed Lottie Turner as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 November 2025.
Lottie has been with the organisation since 2017 and is widely respected as a national leader in advancing collaborative approaches to health, justice and wellbeing.
Board Chair Michael Broadhead said the appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in Lottie’s deep experience and the stability and continuity she brings:
“Lottie has been foundational to Health Justice Australia’s development and impact over the past eight years. She brings strong relationships across sectors, credibility as a systems leader, and a commitment to the movement we’re here to support. The Board is confident in Lottie’s leadership to steer the organisation through its next phase and maintain the momentum required for national systems change.”
Lottie said she is honoured to step into the role at a pivotal time:
“I’m deeply committed to the purpose of Health Justice Australia – ensuring that the systems people turn to for help are equipped to respond to the full range of issues affecting their health, justice, and wellbeing.”
“I’ve seen firsthand what becomes possible when people and organisations are supported to do their best, most meaningful work in service of that purpose. Supporting the people who make up our systems – as much as shaping the systems themselves – is how lasting impact is made.”
“My focus as CEO is on nurturing the partnerships, trust, and capability that enable this work to flourish across Australia.”
Lottie moves into the role after serving as Acting CEO since September, and before that as Deputy CEO and Partnerships Director.
Her appointment comes as Health Justice Australia prepares to host Health Justice 2025, the organisation’s national conference bringing people and organisations together from across sectors to explore the power of partnership in improving people’s lives.
It marks the beginning of an exciting next chapter for Health Justice Australia, which continues its stewardship of the nation’s health justice movement.

About Health Justice Australia
Since 2016, Health Justice Australia has been at the forefront of reimagining how siloed service systems could work better together to improve the lives of the people they’re here to help. We began as a national centre of excellence for health justice partnership, and today we stand as a catalyst for change – connecting practitioners, service leaders, researchers, policymakers and advocates who know that people’s health, social and legal needs are deeply intertwined, and to effectively meet that need, we need to work better, together.
