John Bamborough
John has 30 years experience in social work and now practices Lived Experience Leadership utilising an Intentional Peer Support approach.
John’s career has included youth work, project management work, mediation work in the Queensland Department of Justice, work in emergency accommodation, work in learning and development, and community sector consultancy. John has more than 15 years experience in leadership and management. John has been with Mind Australia in leadership roles for 9-years. During the last 7-years at Mind Australia John has help General Manager roles in operations. Two years ago John took on the challenge of leading the establishment of three Mind-led Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals. John has a deep passion for the work that he does which is guided by strong values of social justice, human rights and compassionate practice.
