Megan Hibbs
Megan studied a combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law at the University of Tasmania. She completed the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course and was admitted to practice in 2011. Since her admission Megan has practiced primarily in the areas of Family Law and Family Violence and has an interest in community legal education. She began her legal career in Western Australia, working at Legal Aid Western Australia, spending time as duty lawyer at the Family Court or Western Australia and duty lawyer for the Domestic Violence Legal Unit based at the Perth Magistrates Court.
Megan has delivered the R U Legal? Criminal responsibility legal education sessions to hundreds of school children in the Perth Metropolitan area and surrounds. Megan began work with the Women’s Legal Service Tasmania in February 2023 as the casework solicitor for the Hobart Women’s Shelter and is currently the assistant principal solicitor for the Just Healthy Families Partnership and visits the nine Child Family Learning Centres in the South of Tasmania.
